" When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. when I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life. John Lennon

Behind ET D'EMIE, there is a mother, Stéphanie Gicquel, who to be "happy" dared : to dare to leave certainties, habits to reinvent herself, to go towards the unknown not without fear but with desire and conviction.

After more than fifteen years in major French luxury houses alongside the most talented, years of incredible richness, during which her childhood dream had become a reality, she decided to move towards her own path by listening to his heart.

2017. Being a mom was a revelation, nothing makes her happier than seeing her daughter grow up. And it is for her and with her, "my companion in creation" that she decides to go ahead and create the brand ET D'EMIE.

"JI needed and wanted to give meaning to my passion, fashion. Make fashion responsible, more ethical but also, and beyond, make fashion that transmits values, messages, keys to the development of everyone, young and old. Clothing to accompany children on the journey of life. An educational fashion, respectful of the environment but which does not forget to be playful and which likes to celebrate children's half-birthdays! Because they also count, children are so proud to grow up! Half birthdays are an important step for them in becoming big and it is by listening to them that the idea of the ET D'EMIE brand was born."

One thing leading to another, from the creation of a company to the creation of a collection, from sketches to prototypes, from the imaginary to the concrete, the very numerous searches for fabrics, manufacturers across the roads of France, embroiderers and other trades that will accompany our project...discovering the perfect fabric and partners for adventures sharing our convictions, from short nights to days that are too short, from doubts to convictions...

2020. Birth of the ET D'EMIE brand.

It took determination and strength to give life to her project and bring meaning to her passion, especially when a health crisis plays surprise guests and constantly leads her to adapt, to reinvent herself, to face the production delays related to the manufacture of masks, confinements and the temporary closure of the "non-essential" store...

"All these difficulties, the fragility and uncertainty of the world in which we live, gave me even more strength and will to continue to be present with the children to try, on my small scale, to make them happy and fulfilled"

Dreaming tomorrow, hat upside down... Looking to the future, together, always... ❤️
